Priorities
San Francisco is at a crossroads.
Tech billionaires are consolidating power.
Working families are being pushed out.
We need a Supervisor who will fight back.
-

Livability is Affordability.
As a progressive, Michael fights for a San Francisco where everyone can afford to stay—not just billionaires.
Protect and expand rent control. Without rent control, Michael wouldn't have been able to build his life here.
Let’s finish the job on Universal Childcare. After housing, childcare is the largest expense for most working families.
Michael’s Housing Plan ensures that we actually finance the production of housing to encourage smart growth, not a blank check to developers. Let’s use every tool at our disposal, including Social Housing, Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts Citywide, and Community Land Trusts to generate more housing for all.
-

Safe Streets through Community Investment.
I believe in building safer neighborhoods by investing in what actually works: vibrant local businesses and arts, mental health services, housing support, and crisis intervention programs. By addressing root causes and empowering community organizations, we create lasting safety—not through enforcement alone, but through care.
Livable City Leadership & Vision
As past President of the Board of Directors for Livable City (https://livablecity.org/mission/), I’ve championed safe streets and people-centered infrastructure for years. Livable City runs Sunday Streets, advocates for pedestrian and bicycle safety, and fights for public space that prioritizes people over cars.
I will always support:
∙Small tweaks to our built infrastructure that prioritize people over cars
∙Community-driven safety improvements like protected bike lanes, pedestrian bulb-outs, and traffic calming
∙Transit-first policies that make Muni faster, more reliable, and accessible
∙Vision Zero goals to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries
∙Complete Streets that work for pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders, and drivers
Why This Matters for District 8
District 8 is incredibly engaged around public transit and livability issues. From Castro to Noe Valley to the Mission border, our residents understand that:
Safe streets are equitable streets - Everyone deserves to get around safely, regardless of how they travel
Transit access is economic access - Reliable Muni connects people to jobs, services, and opportunity
Walkable neighborhoods are thriving neighborhoods - Pedestrian-friendly infrastructure supports local businesses and community connection
Climate action requires transit investment - We cannot meet our environmental goals while prioritizing cars over sustainable transportation
As Your District 8 Supervisor, I Commit To:
∙Fighting for Muni funding and service improvements that keep buses and trains running reliably
∙Supporting community-led safety campaigns like Better and Safer 17th Street
∙Advocating for pedestrian safety improvements throughout District 8 corridors
∙Prioritizing people-centered infrastructure in city planning and budget decisions
∙Using data and community input to identify and address dangerous intersections and corridors
∙Advancing Vision Zero and climate goals through sustainable transportation policy
I’m always amazed by how engaged San Franciscans are around public transit and making our city more livable. This grassroots energy—from transit advocates organizing for 17th Street safety to neighbors fighting to save Sunday Streets—is what makes San Francisco special.
As Supervisor, I’ll be your champion at City Hall for safe streets, reliable transit, and a livable District 8.

Government that works for the People.
The battle for power in City Hall ignores the most vulnerable among us. Michael will fight for all of our neighbors in District 8. He’s the champion we need to guard against consolidation of power.
Michael works for us, not just the wealthy few.
